REFORMER PILATES
Reformer Pilates is a natural extension of our holistic approach to strength training, offering a new dimension to your movement journey. While we’re rooted in functional strength and weight training, Reformer Pilates complements and enhances this foundation, bringing balance to your body and mind.
CONCEPT
Built Reformer is designed to build precision, control and importantly, in line with our core values, strength. We prioritise real teaching over just telling, so you can understand how to move your body better - forever.
Our approach to reformer pilates is fully rounded and holistic, underpinning classical pilates with a more traditional approach. All of our classes will include at least one sequence involving props, including small weights, to create synergy between reformer, lift and life.
THE CLASSES
REFORMER FOUNDATIONS
Our beginner friendly class is sequenced specifically for beginners or for those of you returning to movement, post rehab or pre/postnatal. Designed so you can build both the strong foundations and strength you need to move safely, confidently and with precision.
SIGNATURE REFORMER
Our signature reformer class is multilayered and designed for all levels, however we would still advise taking at least 2-4 foundations sessions beforehand if you are completely new to reformer or training. Expect a more dynamic session in your favourite teacher's signature style.
REFORMER LAB - coming soon
An intermediate or advanced flow tailored to target a specific movement. Expect a class designed to progress weakness into strengths and explore all those technical movements you've always wanted to master.
THINGS TO KNOW
GRIP SOCKS: You must wear grip socks to participate in our Reformer Pilates class. This is for health & safety reasons, which the teachers must enforce for insurance purposes. Please remember to bring grip socks or else we have some from MoveActive available to buy in the studio for £12.
ARRIVAL: Upon arrival, please enter via the main building. You have your own dedicated entry and exit. Please buzz 116 to be let in. There are bathrooms as you enter. The studio is down the second right hallway. We request that you arrive five minutes before start time to take off you coat, shoes, familiarise yourself with the bed and speak with the teacher - should you need to.
LATENESS: We have a strict lateness policy. If you arrive more than two minutes late, teachers will not be able to allow you into class. Unfortunately it is not safe to have clients walking between beds mid flow or when the carriages are moving. Please contact us at hello@builtlondon.com if you have any issues and we can assist you.
PHONES + SOCIALS: We love shout outs on socials! However, if you would like to record, take photos or generally use your phone, please do so before or after class. We ask that you adhere to our phone-free policy during the session. Regarding filming - we encourage you to be present within the space and to respect the clients who may not want to be caught on camera.
